Baggage Restrictions or Limitations

  • To ensure everyone's safety, it is essential that neither your checked nor carry-on baggage contains any of the following dangerous items:

    • Explosives (e.g., gunpowder, ammunition, rockets, fireworks)

    • Gasses (e.g., propane, LPG, butane, nitrogen, lighters, aerosols, ammonia)

    • Flammable Liquids (e.g., gasoline, kerosene, paints, alcohols, solvents, acetone)

    • Flammable Solids (e.g., matches, mothballs, sulfur, wetted explosives, silicon powder)

    • Corrosive Materials (e.g., dishwashing liquid, detergent, battery fluids, sulfuric acid, mercury)

    • Toxic or Infectious Substances (e.g., insecticides, pesticides, medical samples/specimens/waste)

    • Radioactive Materials (e.g., radiologic or nuclear substances, uranium, plutonium, fissile material)

    • Oxidizing Substances and Organic Peroxides (e.g., hydrogen peroxide, nitrate, ammonium, bleach, fertilizers)

    • Miscellaneous (e.g., dry ice, lithium batteries, chemical kits, airbag inflators, magnetrons)

If you are uncertain whether your item is restricted, please don't hesitate to contact customercare@sunlightair.ph or send us a direct message on Facebook Messenger for clarification before your flight.

  • What happens if my personal belongings are classified as dangerous goods or security-restricted items and are confiscated? Is it possible for me to retrieve them after my return flight?

  • The availability and associated fees for an extra person are contingent upon your hotel or resort selection and the specific room options you choose. To inquire about adding an extra person to your room, kindly contact travel@sunlightair.ph.

  • Sports equipment like golf clubs, surfboards, or scuba tanks can be included as part of your checked baggage. If you plan to bring these items, you can purchase extra baggage allowance for them, and we would like you to inform us of their dimensions and quantity before your flight.

Surfboards should have a maximum length of 6 ft with their case and be limited to 2 pieces per flight.

  • Before your flight, please advise us of any medication or medical equipment you plan to bring on board so we can provide appropriate guidelines. You can reach out to us through any of the channels listed on this page: sunlightair.ph/contact-us.

  • Yes, provided that the receiving station does not impose restrictions on perishable items, especially meat products. Please ensure that these items are properly packed and labeled.

  • Fragile items should be securely packed, and valuable items should be placed in your carry-on baggage. If your personal item includes an electronic device or is battery-operated, please remove the battery from the device or equipment and put it in your carry-on instead.

  • For carry-on baggage, passengers are allowed to carry liquids in containers up to 100ml each, not exceeding 1L in total. Note that airport security enforces this limit based on the container size, not the actual liquid volume. Hence, each passenger is permitted to bring a maximum of ten (10) 100ml containers inside the cabin. Ensure these containers are securely packed and not classified as hazardous materials.

There is no limit to liquid volume for checked baggage as long as they are not aerosols or flammable.
