• Can I increase my baggage allowance for my booking even after I have paid for my ticket?

  Yes, you can purchase additional baggage allowance through Web Check-In. If you are unable to check-in online, you may email customercare@sunlightair.ph indicating your request and booking reference number at least eight (8) hours before your departure time.

  Please note that specific routes, such as those to and from Siargao and San Vicente, do not allow prepaid extra baggage allowance due to aircraft weight limitations.

• How much does extra baggage allowance cost?

  The rates for extra checked baggage allowance vary depending on your flight route. Below are their corresponding weights and prices:

  For routes except those to or from San Vicente and Siargao:

  • 10 kg at Php 450.00 per way

  • 20 kg at Php 720.00 per way

  • 30 kg at Php 1,100.00 per way

  • 40 kg at Php 1,440.00 per way

  You can avail of extra baggage allowance through Web Check-in or by emailing customercare@sunlightair.ph.

  For routes to or from San Vicente and Siargao:

  No prepaid extra baggage allowance is available for these routes. However, at airport check-in counters, a 20 kg checked baggage allowance may be purchased for Php 1,000.00 but is subject to the available aircraft space.

• Are the rates for extra checked baggage allowance the same online and at the airport?

  No, the rates offered online are not applicable at the airport. The airport agent will collect a fee of Php 336.00 for every kilogram of excess baggage.

• Can I pool my baggage allowance with other passengers on the same booking?

  Yes, it is allowed, provided that the passenger shares the same PNR or booking reference as you and the combined weight of your baggage does not exceed the total allowance.

• What should I do if my baggage exceeds the weight/size limit?

  You will be asked to pay an excess baggage fee of Php 336.00 per kilogram at the airport. The size and weight allowances depend on the available space on the aircraft. If you anticipate that your baggage might exceed your baggage allowance, we suggest you purchase additional baggage allowance in advance. Please note that the rates for prepaid baggage allowance differ from those at the airport.

• Can I purchase additional baggage using my Travel Fund?

  Yes, you can purchase additional baggage allowance using your Travel Fund. You can email your request with your booking reference to customercare@sunlightair.ph at least 8 hours before your departure time.

• What is the policy for carrying fragile or valuable items?

  Fragile items should be securely packed, and valuables should be placed in carry-on baggage. If your personal item includes an electronic device or is battery-operated, please remove the battery from the device or equipment and put it in your carry-on instead.

• How much liquid can I bring in my carry-on and check-in baggage?

  For carry-on baggage, passengers are allowed to carry liquids in containers up to 100ml each, not exceeding 1L in total. Note that airport security enforces this limit based on the container size, not the actual liquid volume. Hence, each passenger is permitted to bring a maximum of ten (10) pieces of 100ml containers inside the cabin. Ensure these containers are securely packed and do not contain hazardous liquids.

  There is no limit to liquid volume for checked baggage as long as they are not aerosols or flammable.
